Li Fei-fei's World Labs launched Frameboy on November 6, 2026, a real-time AI-generated world exploration tool. Users can navigate virtual scenes using keyboard controls, with cloud GPUs rendering up to 15 frames per second. Built on an optimized Atlas system, Frameboy currently offers publicly available pre-set scenes, while custom creation is restricted to Viewfinder’s beta program. The cloud-based model introduces latency and higher costs compared to local rendering. This development brings new AI + crypto news with potential integration pathways for real-world assets (RWA) in digital environments.

Li Feifei's World Labs launches Frameboy: Explore AI-generated worlds in real time, just like playing a handheld gaming console. According Jinse财经, on November 6, World Labs, founded by Li Feifei, released Frameboy, allowing users to freely navigate through AI-generated virtual worlds by controlling the camera with a keyboard. As the camera turns, cloud-based GPUs generate new frames in real time, reaching up to 15 frames per second.
Atlas, released in September this year, can already complete unseen spaces in an image based on a single photo, and supports precise control of camera position and movement paths to generate 1440p videos up to one minute long. With Frameboy’s speed-optimized version of Atlas, the process—once requiring pre-planned camera shots and waiting for video generation—has been transformed into real-time, free-roaming exploration with instant directional changes.
Currently, the public version of Frameboy only allows exploration of pre-set scenes provided by the official team. To create a virtual world using your own images, you must use Viewfinder, which is still in closed testing.
The entire system relies on cloud-based high-performance GPUs; even at a maximum frame rate of 15 FPS, the experience still feels somewhat sluggish, and the operational costs are higher than local rendering.
