Odaily Planet Daily report: Hardware wallet provider Ledger has released its 2026 AI Security Roadmap for the AI agent economy, centered on ensuring humans retain ultimate control. The company has appointed Chief Experience Officer Ian Rogers as its first Chief Human Intelligence Officer to lead the implementation of its AI security strategy.
The roadmap progresses in four phases: the hardware integration toolkit is already open; in Q2, AI agent hardware-bound identities will be launched; in Q3, agent intent and policy features will go live, enabling trusted hardware approvals; in Q4, a “Human Proof” feature will be added. Leveraging hardware-based security as its root of trust, Ledger provides a final confirmation layer for AI agent transactions, mitigating asset and identity risks and empowering developers to build secure proxy payment infrastructure.
