IT Home, October 15: Kunlun Wanwei today launched Matrix-Game 4.0, the world's first video large model game running on a single consumer-grade GPU.

Kunlun Wanwei introduces "Matrix-Game 4.0" as establishing a new paradigm for game world modeling: the game engine maintains world state and interaction rules, while a video generation model renders detailed visuals in real time. It packs a 480p, 60 FPS real-time gaming experience onto a single NVIDIA RTX 5090, with latency below 150 milliseconds from key press to visual response. Matrix-Game 4.0 has successfully implemented the first complete end-to-end pipeline: "code generates game logic → structured visuals provide structural constraints → video model renders in real time," enabling practical pathways for game prototyping, personalized customization, and UGC. The project has been open-sourced simultaneously.
IT Home noted that Matrix-Game 4.0 was open-sourced upon release. In the future, the team will continue iterating on the model: deploying a refiner to enhance image resolution, exploring consistent multi-player perspectives, providing finer-grained image controls, and expanding support for additional game types and scenarios.
