Hwaesang Finance reports that on August 7, the Korea Exchange will officially launch after-hours trading for exchange-traded funds on September 14. The Korea Exchange aims to compete with alternative trading systems such as Nextrade and round-the-clock cryptocurrency exchanges. In response, asset management firms have warned that the absence of real-time net asset value estimates may widen price deviations for ETFs; the industry has previously called on the Korean Exchange to delay the launch of this service. Leveraged ETFs on individual stocks will not be included in the scope of after-hours trading. (Jinshi)
