CoinDesk reports:

KONST announced the completion of a $30 million Series B round led by ADATA Technology (TPEx: 3260), with participation from M Mobility, Pegatron Venture Capital, and several other institutional investors.

This Taiwan-based next-generation AI computing operator said it will use the funds to expand its AI data center infrastructure across Asia and accelerate the implementation of its Token Factory strategy to meet the growing demand for enterprise AI adoption.

Series B financing: Strategic participation from multiple corporate groups

The lead investors in this round come from the fields of storage and flash, electrification solutions, and electronics manufacturing, while other participants span industries such as energy, semiconductors, and thermal management—industries that are also significant adopters of enterprise AI. KONST emphasizes that, beyond capital, the company places greater value on the synergies investors bring in terms of industry applications and customer use cases, which will help accelerate the connection between the company’s services and real-world deployments.

“The significance of this funding round goes beyond the amount of capital raised. Most importantly, we share the same vision as our investors: AI must truly integrate into enterprise operations, not remain stuck in the proof-of-concept stage,” said Ben Chang, Co-founder and Chairman of KONST. “Once AI becomes part of daily operations, computing power is no longer a one-time project expense—it becomes infrastructure that businesses rely on every day. Our investors understand this better than anyone else, because they are also end users.”

From data centers to governance: KONST’s three-layer architecture transforms computing power into services

KONST stated that enterprise demand for AI is shifting from pilot projects within individual teams to routine, cross-departmental adoption; correspondingly, compute demand is transitioning from one-time project purchases to continuous, fluctuating daily consumption. Fixed-capacity configurations are increasingly struggling to keep pace with this evolving usage pattern. Meanwhile, as agentic AI matures, workloads are placing higher demands on computational performance, stability, and reliability. Demand is rising both in scale and quality—this is precisely why AI infrastructure is becoming more critical.

The Token Factory concept treats computing power as production equipment and tokens as its output. KONST is advancing this concept through a three-layer architecture:

The foundation is computing power supply. Konstra AI handles everything from site selection and the construction of mechanical, electrical, and environmental control systems, to GPU cluster optimization and acceptance, as well as ongoing operations and maintenance. The company states that the proceeds from this funding round will be used to expand its construction capabilities in Asia.

The middle layer is the conversion layer. Glows.ai breaks down cluster computing power into smaller units, allowing businesses to be billed by the second and pay only for what they actually use.

The top layer is governance and delivery. Horizon AI's (k) ATP Token manages this layer, determining who can access what, how much they can use, and how they are billed.

KONST believes that this three-tier division of labor also reflects how Taiwan’s existing hardware and supply chain advantages can further extend up the value chain—from producing computing power to delivering computing power.

(k) ATP Token: A key to access all models and manage team usage

Governance is the most overlooked layer among these three and the most common bottleneck in enterprise AI adoption. The issue isn’t insufficient model capability, but rather no one can clearly articulate which departments are using which models, how much is being spent, or what the outcomes of each request are.

(k) The ATP Token is designed around the principle of "one key, all models." Enterprises need only one project key to connect to all authorized models, eliminating the need to negotiate contracts and perform integrations individually with each vendor.

The platform employs a four-tier structure—Organization, Workspace, Project, and Key—enabling quota allocation at the organizational level, model access control at the project level, and alerts before budget overruns. Each request’s model usage is logged in an audit trail. For enterprises already operating at scale, the (k) ATP Token goes further by consolidating all models on the platform into a single contract and invoice, offering customized pricing based on actual usage. KONST emphasizes that the (k) ATP Token is not a standalone product, but rather the governance foundation embedded within every AI adoption initiative. From day one of the proof of concept, cost tracking, permission management, and request logging were already in place, making full-scale deployment simply a matter of scaling up traffic.

"Buying a GPU is just the beginning," said Chang. "You also need buildable data centers, divisible computing power, and controllable usage methods. Only by connecting these three layers do we achieve what we call computing power delivery."

Focus on AI adoption by large enterprises

KONST stated that Horizon AI primarily targets large corporate groups and major organizations. These clients’ AI adoption typically involves multiple departments, integration with existing systems, and long-term governance requirements. They need more than point solutions—they need partners who can collaborate with them throughout the entire adoption lifecycle. Horizon AI has already deployed solutions for multiple enterprises and institutions and is currently conducting needs assessments with large clients across several industries.

As the business grows, KONST is continuously expanding its team by attracting talent from diverse fields to meet the increasingly varied needs of its customers. For job openings, visit KONST’s LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/company/konsttech
