Klarna, a leading fintech firm, has partnered with Privy, a Stripe-backed wallet infrastructure platform, to build a crypto wallet for everyday users. This project partners move follows Klarna’s launch of KlarnaUSD, a dollar-backed stablecoin on the Tempo blockchain, in November. CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski said the company’s 114 million users and $112 billion in annual transaction volume position it to bring crypto into daily finance. KlarnaUSD aims to cut cross-border payment costs and is set for a 2026 mainnet launch.
