ChainThink reports that on August 6, according to a post on X by the KITE Foundation, it detected an attack targeting the KITE token. The attack has been identified and contained, with no funds lost.
The official statement indicated that the security monitoring system flagged anomalous KITE token transfers on the Ethereum mainnet; in response, the team initiated incident response procedures and suspended all KITE token transfers on the Ethereum mainnet, including cross-chain functions.
The KITE Foundation stated that the affected tokens have been frozen and will not enter the secondary market. The relevant investigation is ongoing.
