ChainThink reports that on August 5, according to market data, the Nikkei 225 index opened higher and is currently up 3.12%; Japanese stock Kioxia is up 6.6%.
On the news front, Kioxia and SanDisk unveiled the BiCS10 3D QLC NAND flash chip at the Future of Memory and Storage Conference (FMS), calling it the highest storage density 3D NAND product officially launched globally to date.
The chip features a 332-layer stack structure, achieving a storage density of 37 Gb/mm², is equipped with a high-speed interface up to 4800 MT/s, and supports the Single Command Address (SCA) function, primarily targeting the high-capacity data center SSD market.
Compared to the previous BiCS10 3D TLC NAND products, which achieved a storage density of over 29 Gb/mm², the new QLC NAND further increases storage capacity density in data centers.
Industry estimates suggest that, under similar chip dimensions and number of memory cells, the chip's capacity may be approximately 1.33 Tb, though the manufacturer has not yet released specific capacity specifications.
