CoinDesk reports:

IT Home, October 13 — Kioxia announced yesterday, U.S. local time, the launch of the CM9-DLC solid-state drive. This enterprise-grade SSD features the EDSFF E3.S form factor and adds support for DLC (Direct Liquid Cooling, cold plate liquid cooling) to the standard CM9 model.

CM9-DLC enables customers to fully adopt liquid cooling on a single server rack, using a single cooling system to cover both compute and storage components.

The CM9-DLC eSSD complies with the PCIe 5.0, NVMe 2.0, and NVMe-MI 1.2c specifications and supports the OCP Data Center NVMe SSD v2.5 specification, including dual-port configuration.

Its capacity reaches up to 32TB, with read-intensive and mixed-workload versions offering 1 DWPD and 3 DWPD respectively. Sequential read and write performance reaches up to 14.8 GB/s and 11 GB/s, while 4KiB random read and write performance reaches up to 3,400K IOPS and 800K IOPS, making it ideal for SSD context caching scenarios.
