ChainCatcher report: Regarding the recent attack on the payment blockchain Keeta, Keeta Network CEO Ty has sent a letter to the attacker, stating that the investigation has made substantial progress and that evidence capable of identifying the attacker’s identity has been collected. This includes IP addresses, VPNs, VPSs, and other infrastructure used in the attack; user agents and technical environments used to initiate unauthorized requests; associated email addresses; and details of software and infrastructure providers involved. All relevant evidence has been preserved and submitted to the appropriate authorities. Ty demands that the attacker return all funds obtained in the attack within 72 hours, accepting repayment in KTA, ETH, or USDC. If the full amount is returned, Keeta is willing to offer a reward and resolve the matter without pursuing legal action. If the funds are not returned within the deadline, Keeta reserves all rights to pursue legal action and fund recovery. Previously, Ty stated that the root cause of the security incident has been confirmed and that a patch is currently being tested. This issue is an isolated problem with the affected component and does not impact Keeta’s anchoring system or any external connected systems. All KTA on Base remain unaffected. Keeta Mainnet will remain in read-only mode until the patch has been thoroughly tested and additional safeguards have been implemented, at which point full operations will resume. The team is actively evaluating the best approach to fully compensate all affected users.
