ChainCatcher report, according to Cointelegraph, traffic to Kalshi’s U.S. website has increased by over 1,500% over the past year. Similarweb data shows that U.S. traffic reached 15.4 million visits in July, up approximately 1,520% from under 1 million visits in August 2025, accounting for nearly 80% of its total traffic. Meanwhile, Kalshi’s nominal monthly trading volume in August reached approximately $40 billion, a roughly 4,500% increase from $874 million a year earlier. The entire prediction market industry’s monthly nominal trading volume rose during the same period from approximately $2 billion to $50.7 billion, with Kalshi accounting for nearly 79% of the total. According to Barron’s, sports contracts made up 83% of Kalshi’s July trading volume. Kalshi is currently facing escalating legal challenges: New Jersey has referred the dispute to the U.S. Supreme Court, and Michigan authorities continue to seek to block its operations. In restricted jurisdictions, Canada generated approximately 450,000 visits to Kalshi’s website in July, up significantly from around 50,000 in August 2025; UK traffic also rose from 31,000 to 296,000. Although both countries are prohibited under Kalshi’s membership agreement for direct access or trading, Kalshi partnered in June with Canadian financial services firm Wealthsimple to provide access to nearly 4,000 eligible contracts via a standalone app.
