According to Odaily, prediction market platform Kalshi has become CNN's official prediction market partner. CNN will integrate Kalshi's real-time probability data into its news programming, led by chief data analyst Harry Enten. The data will support coverage of political and cultural events. Kalshi claims its platform is a key tool for politicians, media, and financial markets to assess future events. Competitor Polymarket has also been featured on CBS's 60 Minutes, calling prediction markets 'the most accurate forecasting tool humans have.' Together, Kalshi and Polymarket have seen over $450 billion in combined trading volume. However, the industry still faces regulatory challenges, as Kalshi recently faced a nationwide class-action lawsuit over alleged unlicensed sports betting services and consumer misrepresentation.
