Jump Crypto’s Firedancer client is now live on the Solana mainnet, producing blocks and processing tens of millions of on-chain transactions in production. The team is gradually rolling out the client to prevent a sudden validator migration prior to the full security audit. Built with an architecture inspired by high-frequency Proof of Work (PoW) systems, Firedancer recently hosted a public audit contest with a $1 million bug bounty to ensure stability.

ChainCatcher report: Firedancer, the Solana validator client developed by Jump Crypto, the crypto division of high-frequency trading firm Jump Trading, has gone live on the Solana mainnet and has begun producing blocks. Firedancer’s founding engineer, Ritchie Patel, stated that the client has already processed tens of millions of transactions in production, but the team will continue a gradual rollout and does not want validators to switch en masse until security audits are fully completed. Additionally, Patel noted that Firedancer’s architecture draws heavily from traditional financial high-frequency trading systems, and the team recently concluded a public security audit competition featuring a $1 million bug bounty pool.
