JPMorgan has moved its JPM Coin token to Coinbase’s Base, an Ethereum layer-2 **blockchain**. The shift responds to institutional **use cases** like on-chain payments, collateral, and margin settlement. Previously on JPMorgan’s private network, JPM Coin now operates on Base for faster, cheaper transactions. The token will support crypto-related collateral and margin payments, offering a bank-backed alternative to stablecoins and traditional transfers.
