Jordi Visser told Anthony Pompliano that Bitcoin could hit $50 trillion as tokenization unlocks $900 trillion in illiquid assets. He compared the potential to SpaceX and noted Bitcoin’s strength amid hedge fund selloffs. TA for crypto shows key support and resistance levels remain intact despite recent volatility. Visser blamed leveraged funds, not AI, for the drop.

Macro investor Jordi Visser said Bitcoin could eventually reach a $50 trillion valuation during Anthony Pompliano's podcast on Saturday. Visser pointed to roughly $900 trillion in largely illiquid global assets that tokenization could eventually make liquid and tradable. Visser argued that Bitcoin could increase in value alongside a much larger pool of liquid capital. Visser said the same logic applies to Bitcoin that Elon Musk has proposed for SpaceX. Bitcoin is outperforming every major asset class as hedge funds unwind leverage.

Visser said the market selloff tied to AI stocks has nothing to do with AI itself failing. Visser compared the stress to the 1998 collapse of Long-Term Capital Management. Visser argued that leveraged hedge funds, rather than the AI buildout, are the real source of stress. Visser cited Lone Pine Capital's gain of more than 40% through September before the fund gave back the entire gain. Visser viewed that reversal as evidence of structural problems in how funds use leverage, rather than a flaw in AI's growth prospects.

Visser rejected comparisons between AI infrastructure companies and companies from the dot-com era. Visser said CoreWeave differs fundamentally because CoreWeave receives revenue from Microsoft, Meta and OpenAI rather than speculative telecom debt. Visser argued that AI's eventual earnings remain inevitable because demand for computing capacity continues to exceed supply. Visser maintained that argument even when individual stock valuations rise too far in the short term.

Visser said Bitcoin has traded between $82,000 and $85,000 for four months while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq remained flat and bonds declined. Visser interpreted that performance as evidence that Bitcoin is attracting capital leaving riskier, leveraged trades. Visser described Bitcoin's performance as showing a "good Sharpe ratio" while few other assets are generating clean returns.

Visser expects the next major move higher in AI stocks and Bitcoin immediately after hyperscaler earnings reports later this month. Visser expects another move higher in December, when many funds stop taking risk for the year. Visser noted that AI-linked long-short positioning on Morgan Stanley's prime brokerage desk has fallen to the seventh percentile of the past year. Visser said that positioning suggests most leveraged risk has already been removed from the trade.

Visser downplayed September's hotter-than-expected Consumer Price Index reading. Visser argued that inflation readings between 2% and 3.5% have little bearing on markets unless those readings coincide with actual job losses. Visser said job losses remain near historic lows.
