JaredfromSubway.eth's sandwich bot has generated 117,017 ETH (approximately $295 million) since March 2023. In June 2026, a hacker deployed 66 fake token contracts to exploit the bot, stealing at least $7.5 million in ETH and stablecoins. The funds were transferred to Tornado Cash and remain unrecovered. ETH news underscores the ongoing risks in DeFi trading strategies. This ETH update highlights the vulnerability of automated bots to front-running attacks.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that since March 2023, the sandwich attack bot operated by JaredfromSubway.eth has withdrawn a total of 117,007 ETH, equivalent to approximately $295 million at current prices. In June 2026, an anonymous attacker deployed 66 counterfeit token contracts, exploiting the bot’s automated trading logic to steal at least $7.5 million in ETH and stablecoins, which were then transferred to Tornado Cash—assets that remain unrecovered to date.

Sandwich attacks are a form of Maximum Extractable Value (MEV): bots monitor the public Ethereum mempool for large transactions, buy assets before the target transaction, and sell after the transaction drives up the price, profiting from the price spread. As of August 28, the bot’s primary contract has received a total of 117,007 ETH.

MEV-Boost block building is concentrated among a few participants, with relay.ultrasound.money, Titan Relay, and bloXroute relays collectively forwarding approximately 85% to 88% of relevant blocks within a 24-hour window; Titan’s builders independently assemble 50.3% of blocks. Monthly sandwich attack extraction has declined from around $10 million at the end of 2024 to approximately $2.5 million in October 2025. (Bitcoin.com News)
