Odaily Planet Daily report: Japanese logistics company AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings plans to adopt the Japanese yen stablecoin JPYC to make payments to approximately 2,300 business partners, which is expected to become JPYC’s first large-scale corporate application in Japan. The stablecoin will be used to pay fees and compensation to individual contractors handling transportation services, including truck drivers.

AZ-COM Maruwa stated that using JPYC enables faster, higher-frequency payments with no transfer fees. AZ-COM Maruwa is also considering partnering with JPYC and investing over 1 billion Japanese yen, approximately $6.2 million. AZ-COM Maruwa is a mid-sized Japanese logistics company whose primary clients include Amazon Japan.
