Toyota, Honda, Sony, and Rakuten all increased their outlooks during the latest earnings season. Okayama Securities reports that 159 TSE-listed companies have raised their forecasts since July 1, while only 12 lowered theirs. The trend mirrors a similar surge seen in 2016. Amid this, crypto exchanges remain on high alert for potential exchange hacks as trading volumes rise.

ME News reports that on August 10 (UTC+8), the weakening yen is delivering significant business advantages to Japanese multinational corporations, with many companies raising their earnings forecasts in the latest earnings season. Despite recent government intervention efforts, the market expects the yen to remain under pressure. As a result, companies with substantial overseas operations—such as Toyota Motor, Honda Motor, Sony, and Muji’s parent company Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd.—have all raised their financial outlooks. According to an Okasan Securities report, among the approximately 1,600 companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, 159 have raised their annual earnings forecasts since July 1, while only 12 have lowered them. The overall net adjustment rate for earnings forecasts has reached 86%, the highest level since fiscal year 2016. (Source: BlockBeats)
