In accordance with Blockbeats, on December 10, 2025, IoTeX, as the Blockchain Association DePIN Working Group Chair, attended the Washington Policy Summit. The team engaged in in-depth discussions with key policymakers, including SEC Chair Paul Atkins, Senator Bill Harley, and Representative Haley Stevens. The summit focused on core topics such as crypto market structure, stablecoins, and real-world assets (RWA). IoTeX co-founder Jing highlighted how machine networks and AI are driving a new economy, with DePIN and RWA tokenization aiding capital access, addressing energy shortages in the AI revolution, and enabling broader public participation. SEC Chair Atkins signaled a positive outlook on crypto regulation, stating that most tokens, including DePIN networks and digital tools, would not be classified as securities, and ICO fundraising could resume in the U.S. He also mentioned that the SEC plans to advance token classification and innovation exemptions in 2026 to provide clearer regulatory pathways.
