IOTA Launches Industry-Agnostic Trust Framework for Verified Digital Assets

Citing Bijiawang, IOTA has introduced a trust framework designed to enable cross-industry data verification and asset exchange. The modular framework integrates identity, hierarchy, notarization, gas handling, and tokenization tools, aiming to support broad system applications. Built over the past decade through collaboration with companies across various sectors, the framework addresses challenges in identity verification, data integrity, and digital process control. It eliminates technical barriers and is tightly integrated with the core IOTA network, offering open-source components for free use. The framework consists of five modules: IOTA Identity, IOTA Hierarchy, IOTA Notarization, IOTA Gas Station, and IOTA Tokenization. These can be used individually or in combination to confirm identities, manage access, tag data, protect transaction purposes, or create tradable digital assets. IOTA Identity grants access to verified participants, IOTA Hierarchy assigns access keys in a structure similar to real-world office hierarchies, and IOTA Notarization adds proof of origin and timestamping without revealing content. IOTA Gas Station enables sponsored interactions without token costs, and IOTA Tokenization creates digital units backed by real-world assets while managing ownership rules and compliance. The framework supports applications from product tracking and RWA tokenization to circular economy and digital identity, enabling Web3 integration with existing business systems.
