InfiMotion electric drive system debuts at the Paris Motor Show, equipped on vehicles from multiple automotive brands.
Paris, October 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The 2026 Paris Motor Show took place from October 12 to 18 at the Paris Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center. InfiMotion Technology, a key player in China’s powertrain sector, did not maintain a separate booth but featured its electric drive systems across multiple automakers’ lineups, including nearly all vehicles on Geely’s exhibition stand, as well as models from Lynk & Co, Zeekr, and Smart.
The Geely booth also featured the European debut of the Monjaro EM-i, displayed alongside the EX2, EX5, and STARRAY EM-i. Geely’s latest InfiMotion products were also unveiled at its UTAC event in France, allowing European media to experience its new generation of electric drive systems firsthand.
Technologically advanced: Setting the global standard
InfiMotion's new dual-motor off-road electric drive system makes its debut on the Geely K011. The company states that it is the only lockable dual-motor system in its class, with each motor delivering 220 kW of power and a combined maximum torque of 2 × 4,500 N·m.
The system's differential lock controller concentrates reactive forces on a single wheel to help the vehicle escape difficult terrain; it can deliver up to 9,000 N·m of torque to a single wheel, with a magnification factor of 200%. The company states that the system has received IPX8 certification and has successfully passed iceberg impact and immersion tests.
Its product line covers 400V to 900V. The 900V TP501 coaxial dual-motor drive features a semi-solid die-cast magnesium alloy housing, reducing weight by 30%. The P600 compact electric drive system for voltages above 750V utilizes Mini-Pin windings and 0.2mm ultra-thin silicon steel laminates, achieving a CLTC efficiency of 92.4%.
The company states that its proprietary high-performance oil-cooling system supports over 100 consecutive full-throttle accelerations without performance degradation. The off-road system has entered mass production, and the 11-in-1 domain controller electric drive unit launched in 2024 is now installed in the Geely Galaxy E5—what the company calls China’s best-selling A-segment all-electric SUV in exports.
Global Competitiveness: International Presence Continues to Expand
InfiMotion stated that, in the first half of 2026, it ranked among the top three motor and inverter suppliers in China by shipment volume. Its R&D network spans Wuxi, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hangzhou, and Gothenburg, employing over 1,000 engineers, including more than 100 Swedish software specialists.
The company operates five major intelligent manufacturing bases in China, supporting a global supply network extending to Europe and Malaysia. Its CNAS-accredited testing center features the world’s first 30,000 rpm motor test bench, with validation capabilities covering thermal cycling from -60°C to 140°C, 1,500-hour salt spray testing, and 2,500-hour durability testing.
