Hyperliquid Strategies Increases Equity Financing to $2.5 Billion for HYPE Reserve Strategy

According to Huoxing Finance, on September 2, Nasdaq-listed Hyperliquid Strategies (HSI) increased its committed equity financing facility with Chardan Capital Markets from $1 billion to $2.5 billion, a 150% increase. This financing mechanism allows the company to raise capital through the issuance of new shares for its HYPE reserve strategy. As of June 30, HSI held approximately 29.3 million HYPE tokens, with related assets under management totaling about $1.904 billion. Previously, the company had raised $646.6 million through this facility and invested $773.4 million to acquire approximately 16.5 million additional HYPE tokens at an average cost of $46.77 per token. The revision also imposes stricter limits on low-price issuances: after cumulative sales of $1 billion under this facility, if the issuance price falls below $12.02, the actual number of shares issued may not exceed 42.6418 million, or 19.99% of the outstanding shares prior to the revision, unless approved by shareholders or another exemption applies.
