Odaily Planet Daily report: Data center software startup and AI server intermediary platform Hydra Host has raised $100 million in funding, achieving a post-money valuation of nearly $800 million. The round was led by Kindred Ventures, a venture capital firm. Other investors in this round include Nvidia, ARK Invest, Magnetar Capital—an early investor in CoreWeave—as well as existing shareholders Founders Fund and Flume Ventures.
Hydra Host, founded in 2021 and initially serving cryptocurrency miners, now provides automation software to data center operators, enabling them to rent out idle NVIDIA AI server computing power and operate a GPU matching marketplace that connects GPU owners with renters. The company has expanded its technology to 50 data centers worldwide, up from 30 in February of this year. (The Information)
