This year, 1,529 individuals with personal wealth of over 5 billion yuan made it onto the Hurun Rich List, an increase of 95 from last year and a new record; the total wealth of all listed entrepreneurs reached 32 trillion yuan, up 7% (2.1 trillion yuan) year-over-year. Zhang Yiming, founder of ByteDance, became China’s richest person for the second time with a wealth of 670 billion yuan, setting a new record for the wealthiest person in China; Zhong Shanshan, founder of Nongfu Spring, saw his wealth decline by 120 billion yuan to 410 billion yuan, dropping to second place; Zeng Yuqun of CATL ranked third.
Notably, three new faces have entered the top ten: Hengli’s Chen Jianhua and Fan Hongwei, DeepSeek’s Liang Wenheng, and Cambricon’s Chen Tianshi—all making their debut in the top ten. Among them, Liang Wenheng ranks seventh with a wealth of 280 billion yuan. (Cailianpress)
