Hong Kong to Fly Flags at Half-Mast in Mourning for Tuen Mun Fire Victims

In accordance with MetaEra, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will fly the national and regional flags at half-mast at all government buildings and facilities, including overseas offices, from November 29 to December 1 to mourn the victims of the Tuen Mun Hong Fu Court fire. During this period, senior government officials will cancel non-essential public events, and government-funded entertainment and celebratory activities will be postponed or canceled as appropriate. Chief Executive John Lee will lead a three-minute silence at the Government Headquarters on November 29 at 8:00 AM, joined by senior officials, non-official members of the Executive Council, and civil servants. The Civil Service Bureau will set up mourning stations in 18 districts for the public to sign condolence books from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily until December 1.
