Hermes Agent Launches Bot Mode to Simplify Multi-Agent AI Team Usage

According to Beating Monitor, Nous Research has launched the public beta of Hermes Agent’s Bot Mode. Initially available as a standalone plugin, it is planned to be integrated into Hermes Desktop after gathering user feedback. Hermes already supported multiple independent profiles and enabled collaboration among different Agents via Kanban. Bot Mode does not overhaul the underlying architecture but instead reimagines these capabilities with a more intuitive user interface. The official documentation explicitly states that a Bot is essentially a Hermes Profile. Now, each Profile is displayed as a Bot with a name, avatar, and identity, retaining its own model, skills, memory, and chat history. Users can directly assign tasks to another Bot by mentioning it (@), and Bots have dedicated inboxes for sending messages to one another. Each Bot can also be individually configured with scheduled tasks. This product design clearly follows the recently launched Grok Bot. Some community members directly asked whether this feature fills the gap between Hermes and Grok Bot, to which Hermes co-founder Teknium replied, “Yep.”
