ChainThink reports that, on July 24, according to Hashdex’s Form 8-K filed with the U.S. SEC, the Hashdex Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF (ticker: NCIQ) completed an amendment to its trust agreement on July 23, permitting staking of the crypto assets held by the fund, with Coinbase Cloud as the initial staking service provider.
According to the staking income distribution plan, the portion of net staking income equivalent to up to 25 basis points (annualized) of the net asset value of the common shares shall belong entirely to the Sponsor;
Of the amount exceeding this threshold, 40% goes to the Sponsor and 60% goes to the general shareholders. The fund is expected to initiate staking once it becomes operationally ready.
