Hackers exploited a vulnerability in SingularityNET’s bridge contract, minting 260 million AGIX and 53.838 million WMTx. PeckShield reported that the attacker holds $16.77 million, including 198.3 million AGIX and 649 ETH. Liquidity and crypto markets face new risks as the breach underscores gaps in cross-chain security. Regulators, including those under MiCA (EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation), may increase scrutiny of smart contract protocols.
