Bitcoin news: Zcash (ZEC) has surged nearly 19-fold in a year, yet its market cap remains just 0.88% of Bitcoin’s $1.56 trillion. Grayscale highlights Zcash’s privacy features, cybersecurity, and cross-chain technology as key growth drivers. If ZEC reached 2% of Bitcoin’s market cap, its price would rise to $1,622. Grayscale’s ZCSH ETF provides exposure to ZEC. Bitcoin analysis indicates that Zcash’s capped supply and zero-knowledge proofs underpin its long-term potential.

ChainCatcher report: Over the past year, the privacy-focused cryptocurrency Zcash has risen approximately 19-fold, yet its market capitalization remains under 1% of Bitcoin’s. Digital asset management firm Grayscale stated that financial privacy, cybersecurity development, and cross-chain connectivity capabilities may drive further market share growth for Zcash. As of today, Bitcoin’s market cap stands at $1.56 trillion, while Zcash’s market cap is $13.74 billion—approximately 0.88% of Bitcoin’s, meaning Bitcoin’s market cap is roughly 114 times that of Zcash. Grayscale estimates that if ZEC were to reach 2%, 5%, and 10% of Bitcoin’s market cap, the corresponding prices would be $1,622, $4,054, and $8,109, respectively. These scenarios are not price predictions. Grayscale’s Zcash ETF, trading under the ticker ZCSH on NYSE Arca, has transitioned from OTCQX and provides investors with direct exposure to spot ZEC without the need to purchase tokens directly or manage wallets and private keys. Zcash employs proof-of-work and a fixed supply of 21 million coins, and supports transaction privacy through zero-knowledge proofs. Its Intents technology can coordinate cross-chain transactions based on user objectives—for example, exchanging other digital assets for ZEC.
