Bitcoin ETF news continues to draw attention as new products expand the crypto investment landscape.

ChainThink reports that on August 25, according to an official announcement, Grayscale launched the Zcash Spot ETF (ticker: ZCSH), which has officially begun trading on the NYSE Arca, becoming the world’s first exchange-traded product offering direct exposure to Zcash (ZEC).

This product was formerly the Grayscale Zcash Trust, established in October 2017 through a private placement. Grayscale states that ZCSH is designed to meet investor demand for exposure to cryptocurrencies beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum through traditional brokerage accounts.

Steve Vanourny, Head of the Grayscale Index Business, stated that Zcash, with nearly a decade of network history, a fixed supply cap of 21 million coins, and a PoW mechanism, along with optional privacy features, is positioned as a high-risk satellite holding in a digital asset portfolio.

The serious privacy system vulnerability previously disclosed in Zcash continues to attract market attention. In May of this year, researchers discovered a exploitable vulnerability in Zcash's Orchard privacy pool, which could allow attackers to forge ZEC.

Zcash deployed an emergency patch in June and activated the Ironwood upgrade in July to replace the vulnerable pool and restrict the potential creation of forged ZEC through new supply accounting rules.

Grayscale stated that it will focus in the future on the adoption of the Ironwood upgrade, cybersecurity, exchange support, and regulatory policies for privacy assets.
