Huo Xing Finance reports that on November 1, 2026, multiple users posted on X claiming that the usage data for OpenAI’s Codex included a model tag labeled “GPT-6.2 Astra,” while the model selector still displayed “GPT-6 Astra.” A usage chart covering October 26 to November 1 showed that gpt-6-astra accounted for 80% and gpt-6.2-astra for 19.8%. Another account shared a JSON snippet allegedly from an API response, with the response.model field set to gpt-6.2-astra. According to QbitAI, GPT-6.2 Astra has been undergoing limited gray-scale testing among select users, with access typically restricted to Pro plan subscribers with a monthly budget of $500. Some users reported that approximately 20% of their requests were routed to version 6.2, while others claimed all requests were directed to 6.2. On the same day, an account posted a screenshot showing that the hidden code on Anthropic’s official Mythos page contained a reference to “Claude Mythos 5.5.” The visible page displayed “Claude Mythos 5.1,” while the hidden header and logo alt text were labeled as 5.5. According to QbitAI, this text briefly appeared in the website’s frontend code and was removed several hours later. Anthropic has not confirmed this change, and no archived copies exist to verify the modification beyond the screenshot. Additionally, prior reports indicated that Fable 5.5 had appeared in Microsoft Azure and MLflow directories with a context window of 1 million tokens and an output limit of 128K tokens. Verification revealed that on October 13, 2026, a bot added an entry for azure_ai/claude-fable-5-5 to the open-source tool LiteLLM’s pricing list, which was deleted the following day with the note: “Azure does not list this model.” These parameters exactly match those of Fable 5.1. To date, neither OpenAI nor Anthropic has officially released any of these models.
