ChainThink reports that on August 15, according to Google's announcement, Google will allow users to remove visible watermarks from its AI-generated content, applicable to images, videos, and songs.

Google stated that this adjustment will not affect the invisible SynthID watermark or the metadata associated with the C2PA standard.

Josh Woodward, Vice President of Google Gemini, said the feature will be available on the Nano Banana, Omni, and Lyria models, and will be offered on Gemini and the video editor Flow, with search functionality coming soon.

This feature will be rolled out over the coming days; users can enable or disable the visible watermark under “Settings > Media Watermark” once online. Google has also open-sourced the Credentio library to help developers embed local verification mechanisms into their apps.
