Google Cloud and Accenture are done with the AI demo phase. The two companies announced the Gemini Enterprise Acceleration Program at Cloud Next ’26 on April 22, a joint initiative that embeds thousands of AI engineers directly at customer sites to build, deploy, and scale AI agents within enterprise workflows.
The program combines forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) from both companies with industry specialists from Faculty, Accenture’s AI consultancy, to work shoulder-to-shoulder with clients on real production systems.
What the program actually does
The Gemini Enterprise Acceleration Program is built on Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise platform and provides early access to cutting-edge models from Google DeepMind, including the Gemini family. Accenture brings what it calls the industry’s largest pool of Google Cloud-certified professionals to the table.
The structure is straightforward: teams of AI-skilled engineers physically embed within client organizations to prototype specialized AI agents, then stick around to push those agents into production-grade deployments. The emphasis is on what both companies are calling “agentic transformation,” meaning AI systems that can take actions autonomously while maintaining human oversight at key decision points.
Accenture’s Intelligent Digital Brain, its governance and decision intelligence framework, provides the guardrails.
A partnership with receipts
As of August 2024, nearly 45% of their joint client generative AI projects had moved from proof-of-concept to production.
Accenture was named Google Cloud’s 2026 Global Services Partner of the Year, marking the fourth consecutive year it has held that distinction. The two companies have also established several Centers of Excellence around the globe focused on industry-specific AI solutions.
