The growth was primarily driven by AI demand, with memory manufacturers posting significant sequential increases: SK Hynix and SanDisk rose 51%, while Kioxia increased 76%. Nvidia’s AI processor business grew 18% quarter-over-quarter, and Broadcom is expected to see a 33% sequential increase. Kioxia and SanDisk rose to eighth and ninth place globally, respectively, with both reporting year-over-year revenue growth of more than fourfold. Excluding major AI suppliers, the combined revenue of the other top 20 semiconductor companies increased only 9% quarter-over-quarter, with guidance indicating approximately 6% sequential growth in the third quarter of 2026. Memory manufacturers have significantly lowered their growth expectations for the third quarter. Based on the latest forecasts, full-year 2026 semiconductor market growth is expected to reach or exceed 90%, with Semiconductor Intelligence projecting 101% growth and RCD Advisors forecasting 112%; in the memory segment, WSTS anticipates 249% growth and Gartner forecasts 280%. Most institutions expect growth to moderate to the mid-20% range in 2027.
