Huo Xing Finance reports that on August 3, the world’s first pure memory-themed ETF, the Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM), completed its latest rebalancing, adding China’s DRAM manufacturer CXMT to its top ten holdings with a weight of 2.52%, making it the eighth-largest position. Meanwhile, the ETF reduced its stake in China’s A-share memory company GigaDevice, lowering its weight from 2.91% to 1.51% and dropping its ranking to tenth. CXMT now holds the highest weighting among Chinese memory stocks in the ETF. Market participants note that CXMT’s inclusion in a global memory-themed ETF signals growing international capital interest in China’s DRAM industry. CXMT now appears in the same investment portfolio alongside global memory giants such as Samsung Electronics, Micron Technology, and SK Hynix. CXMT listed on the STAR Market on July 27 at an issue price of 8.66 yuan, closing its first trading day at 49 yuan—a single-day gain of 465.82%. As of the close on August 3, its share price stood at 54.99 yuan, with a total market capitalization of approximately RMB 3.68 trillion. According to Omdia data, CXMT is projected to hold a global DRAM market share of about 7.67% in Q4 2025, ranking fourth globally. The Roundhill Memory ETF launched on April 2, 2026, on the Cboe BZX exchange in the U.S., becoming the world’s first thematic ETF focused exclusively on memory chips. Data shows that within three months of listing, its assets under management surpassed $25 billion. Its top ten holdings include Samsung Electronics, Micron Technology, SK Hynix, Western Digital, Seagate Technology, SanDisk, Kioxia Holdings, CXMT, Nanya Technology, and GigaDevice. Recently, global memory chip stocks have seen a correction: on August 3, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index fell 5.12%, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix both dropping nearly 9%. Morgan Stanley believes that recent deleveraging may create new entry opportunities for AI and industrial cycle investments.
