BlockBeats news, on August 3, the world’s first pure memory-themed ETF, the Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM), completed its latest rebalancing, adding Chinese DRAM manufacturer CXMT to its top ten holdings with a weight of 2.52%, making it the eighth-largest holding.
Data shows that DRAM reduced its holdings in GigaDevice, a Chinese memory company listed on the A-share market, lowering its weight from 2.91% to 1.51%, causing its ranking to drop to tenth. CXMT has become the Chinese memory stock with the highest weight in this ETF.
Market participants say that ChangXin Memory Technologies' inclusion in global memory-themed ETFs signals that international capital is beginning to pay further attention to China's DRAM industry. Currently, ChangXin Memory Technologies appears alongside global memory manufacturers such as Samsung Electronics, Micron Technology, and SK Hynix in the same investment portfolio.
ChangXin Memory Technologies listed on the STAR Market on July 27 at an issue price of RMB 8.66, closing its first trading day at RMB 49, a single-day gain of 465.82%. As of the close on August 3, the company’s stock price stood at RMB 54.99, with a total market capitalization of approximately RMB 3.68 trillion. According to Omdia data, ChangXin held approximately 7.67% of the global DRAM market share in the fourth quarter of 2025, ranking fourth worldwide.
The Roundhill Memory ETF listed on the Cboe BZX Exchange in the United States on April 2, 2026, and is the world’s first thematic ETF focused on memory chips. Data shows that within three months of its listing, its assets under management exceeded $25 billion. Its top ten holdings include Samsung Electronics, Micron Technology, SK Hynix, Western Digital, Seagate Technology, SanDisk, Kioxia Holdings, CXMT, Nanya Technology, and GigaDevice.
Recent global adjustments in memory chip stocks led to a 5.12% decline in the Korean Composite Stock Price Index on August 3, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix both falling nearly 9%. Morgan Stanley believes that the recent deleveraging may create new entry opportunities for investments in AI and industrial cycles.
