Odaily Planet Daily reports, according to SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 AM Eastern Time on September 8, 2026, the total net weekly purchase of Bitcoin by global public companies (excluding mining companies) was $267 million, a 48% decrease from the previous week. Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) did not purchase any Bitcoin last week. Japanese public company Metaplanet also did not purchase any Bitcoin last week, marking eight consecutive weeks without a purchase.
In addition, eight other companies announced purchases of or updates to their Bitcoin holdings last week. Japanese energy investment company Remixpoint disclosed that, as of September 4, 2026, it held a total of 1,506.23390097 BTC, with cumulative expenditures of $111.84 million, and added 2.48356398 BTC through non-purchase means. Entertainment technology company Boyaa Interactive announced that between June 24, 2026, and September 4, 2026, it invested $14.3 million to acquire 205 BTC at an average price of $69,756.097561 per BTC, bringing its total holdings to 4,316 BTC. UK-based Bitcoin company The Smarter Web Company announced on September 2 that it invested $2.72 million to purchase 35 BTC at $77,708 per BTC, increasing its total holdings to 2,747 BTC. Bitcoin asset company Bitcoin Treasury Corporation announced on September 4 that its total holdings stood at approximately 737.71 BTC but did not disclose the total purchase amount or average cost per BTC. UK-based Bitcoin asset company BHODL announced on September 3 that it spent approximately $77,772.17 last week to acquire 1 BTC, bringing its total holdings to approximately 167.487 BTC. Ethereum asset company Bitmine announced after 8:00 AM Eastern Time on August 31 that it purchased 1 BTC but did not disclose the purchase amount, raising its total holdings to 211 BTC. French Bitcoin company Capital B announced on September 7 that it purchased 376 BTC at $67,182 per BTC, increasing its total holdings to 3,521 BTC. Asset management firm Strive announced on September 8 that it spent approximately $109 million last week to acquire 1,375 BTC at $79,281 per BTC, bringing its total holdings to approximately 24,531 BTC.
On the financing front, Capital B announced it has raised another €7.6 million (approximately $8.83 million) from investors and institutions, including Adam Back, to purchase Bitcoin. BHODL confirmed that ATM 2 (the second at-the-market offering) has been completed, with 600,000 ordinary shares sold at an average price of 8.06 pence per share, generating total proceeds of £48,275 ($65,253.32) for Bitcoin purchases, and has now initiated ATM 3 (the third at-the-market offering).
As of the time of this report, global publicly traded companies (excluding mining companies) collectively hold a total of 1,119,973 bitcoins, a 2.38% decrease from last week, with a current market value of approximately $87.77 billion, representing 5.6% of Bitcoin’s circulating market cap.
