Odaily Planet Daily reports that GIWA officially confirmed that the so-called GIWA Mainnet previously circulated is a fraudulent chain set up by scammers, and warned users not to use any non-official RPCs, bridges, or contracts, nor to transfer funds to related addresses until further notice.
Previously, the community associated this chain with Upbit and engaged in trading around tokens such as $GIWACAT and $FAKER; it was reported that after false information regarding bridges and RPC was spread within the DYOR group, DYORSWAPDEX deployed related markets, followed by funds flowing in and purchasing $FAKER.
On-chain tracking shows that the fake bridge has collected over 766 ETH, with funds first transferred to an address ending in 4134, then moved to addresses ending in 6b60 and 3da4, and the movement is still ongoing.
GIWA stated that it has contacted a professional security team to track on-chain fund flows and preserve evidence including chat logs, RPC information, bridge addresses, and transaction records. Eligibility determination, loss verification, and the compensation scope will be announced after the investigation is completed. Projects using OP Stack must verify whether the Ethereum side Rollup contract is legitimate and confirm that the RPC originates from the official website or a trusted partner.
