Citing CoinEdition, the Republic of Georgia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hedera to tokenize its national land registry. The initiative aims to modernize the country’s public registry by leveraging blockchain technology for improved transparency and digital governance. The Ministry of Justice will work with Hedera to develop on-chain infrastructure for real estate tokenization and smart contract integration. This follows earlier blockchain experiments, including Bitcoin and Ripple pilots, and aligns with Georgia’s broader digital transformation strategy.
