Genius Yield will wind down operations, according to on-chain news, with CTO Lars Brünjes launching Genius Zero, an open-source tool under the MIT license. The protocol update enables users to interact directly with smart contracts. Rewards can still be claimed via a co-signing service, but only for on-chain deposits. DEX order book fees remain valid, and any changes require approval from three of the four founders. Users are warned not to enter private keys on any website.

Genius Yield CTO Lars Brünjes posted on X that the Cardano ecosystem protocol Genius Yield is gradually winding down operations. To prevent users’ assets from being locked, he developed the open-source web application Genius Zero (MIT licensed), allowing users to interact directly with contracts via their browser to perform actions such as unstaking, without relying on Genius Yield’s backend. Reward claims still require a co-signing service operated by him personally and are limited only to rewards already on-chain. Existing fees on the DEX order book remain valid; changes require signatures from three of the four founders, which have not yet been approved. He reminded users never to enter their seed phrases or private keys on any website.
