GAM Esports, Vietnam’s most decorated League of Legends organization, is pulling jungler Draktharr from its active lineup ahead of the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational. The international tournament kicks off October 3 in Beijing, which doesn’t leave much runway for finding and integrating a new player in one of the game’s most demanding roles.
Draktharr, whose real name is Lê Ngọc Toàn, joined GAM in November 2025 with a contract running through November 2027. His time with the squad has produced respectable but not exactly championship-caliber results: a third-place finish in Split 2 and fourth in Split 3 of the 2026 LCP season.
Big shoes, bigger expectations
Draktharr wasn’t just filling any roster slot when he joined GAM. He was replacing Levi, one of the most iconic junglers in Vietnamese League of Legends history. Levi retired from competitive play but remains connected to the scene as a content creator.
Draktharr came to GAM from Team Flash, where he competed in the VCS from 2023 to 2025 and accumulated career earnings of roughly $21,822. His arrival was part of a broader roster refresh that also brought in support player Taki and head coach Naul.
The Demacia Cup and what’s at stake
The 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational brings together 12 teams from six different regions and carries a prize pool of approximately 1.5 million CNY, which converts to roughly $223,605. GAM earned their invitation by finishing fourth in championship points across the LCP season.
The tournament runs from October 3 to 17. GAM’s confirmed roster heading into the event includes top laner Kiaya, mid laner Gloryy, bot laner Artemis, and support Taki.
As of mid-September, no replacement jungler has been publicly announced, and no details have emerged regarding whether Draktharr’s status is temporary or permanent.
Reading between the roster moves
His contract still extends through late 2027, which means GAM could theoretically bring him back for the regular LCP season if the replacement doesn’t pan out.
