On August 2, PANews reported that Galaxy Research tweeted about a third wave of attacks targeting addresses generated by Coldcard, resulting in the theft of 207.7294 bitcoins. The total estimated loss from the Coldcard attacks now stands at 1,367.05 bitcoins (approximately $88.6 million), affecting 4,585 addresses. Previously, Galaxy Research released findings on the Coldcard attack, revealing that 1,196 addresses were completely drained of a total of 1,082.65 bitcoins, valued at over $70 million. The attack occurred within 41 minutes and began approximately 30 hours before Coldcard publicly issued a warning.
