Bitcoin news: Galaxy Digital’s head of research, Alex Thorn, warned that 2026 could be one of the hardest years to predict for bitcoin due to macroeconomic and political risks. In a Dec. 21 X post, Thorn referenced Galaxy Research’s Dec. 18 report, noting the digital asset market is in a bear phase with uneven momentum. Derivatives data shows mixed outcomes, with bitcoin possibly hitting $70,000 or $130,000 by mid-2026 and $50,000 or $250,000 by year-end. Galaxy remains bullish long-term, forecasting $250,000 by 2027.
