Prosper, Texas, USA, October 27 /PRNewswire/ — Encryption Consulting LLC, an application cryptography company specializing in PKI, encryption, and post-quantum readiness, today announced that its CBOM Secure platform has been featured in Frost & Sullivan’s new report, “Insights for CISOs: Transition to Quantum-Safe.” The report focuses on how enterprises can prepare for post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and identifies encryption visibility as foundational to PQC migration, with CBOM Secure enabling organizations to discover, map, and prioritize cryptographic technologies that must be replaced. The report is now available for download.
Frost & Sullivan found that cryptographic assets are distributed across networks, endpoints, applications, source code, certificates, key management systems, and hardware security modules (HSMs), making it nearly impossible to establish a single "source of truth." The report states that the complexity of discovery far exceeds the expectations of many organizations, as an effective inventory must not only document the algorithms in use but also capture the relationships between cryptographic assets and the applications, data, and business processes that depend on them.
CBOM Secure uses more than 20 sensors to discover cryptographic assets across networks, source code, databases, applications, and key vaults, helping establish a unified inventory of an organization’s cryptographic environment. The platform maps relationships between assets, including associations between certificates and keys, cross-service dependencies, and key reuse patterns, and transforms findings into actionable migration plans. It identifies vulnerable assets, evaluates cryptographic agility and quantum readiness at the host level, and tracks progress toward quantum-safe solutions. Granular dashboards, proactive alerts, on-demand audit reports, cryptographically verifiable audit trails, and CycloneDX inventory exports enable continuous monitoring and interoperability.
The report also highlights CBOM Secure’s flexibility. The platform supports on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and SaaS deployments, integrates with ServiceNow to route discovery findings to application owners, and collaborates with endpoint and security platforms such as Tanium and CrowdStrike to deploy sensors at scale. Combined with Encryption Consulting’s PQC advisory services—covering assessment, strategy development, and implementation—CBOM Secure aims to bridge the capability gap around PQC and CBOM by providing technical and expert guidance to help organizations execute migration projects.
Puneet Singh, Head of Encryption Consulting, said: “Every post-quantum roadmap begins with the same question: What cryptographic technologies do we have, and what do they rely on? We built CBOM Secure to answer this question where cryptography actually exists—from cloud key management and HSMs to databases and source code—and turn the answers into prioritized action plans. Frost & Sullivan’s analysis reflects what we’re seeing with our clients: organizations that establish this visibility now and start with a limited scope are the ones who can move from assessment to execution.”
Özgün Pelit, Senior Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan, said: “Encryption Consulting combines deep cryptographic expertise, comprehensive discovery capabilities, and practical implementation support to address the complexities of PQC migration. Its CBOM Secure platform excels in providing broad visibility into cryptographic assets and their dependencies, while enabling contextual risk prioritization to help organizations turn findings into actionable migration roadmaps. By integrating these capabilities with existing enterprise security workflows and tailoring migration strategies to individual client needs, Encryption Consulting is well-positioned to support organizations throughout their transition to quantum-safe cryptography.”
The report also notes that urgency is increasing. Frost & Sullivan highlights that Google’s decision to target a full migration to PQC by 2029, announced in March 2026, indicates that leading technology companies are preparing for an accelerated risk timeline. Regulatory bodies in the United States (CNSA 2.0), the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore have established PQC milestones between 2026 and 2035, with financial institutions specifically required to demonstrate that they have begun identifying cryptographic assets and developing migration plans.
The report reinforces the importance of the checklist for CISOs. Frost & Sullivan recommends that security leaders start with a limited scope rather than waiting for a comprehensive enterprise-wide inventory; integrate PQC capabilities into existing security platforms rather than adding standalone tools; and use early pilots to build the bill of materials and cost estimates needed for larger-scale future investments. The report also notes that private equity investors are beginning to assess quantum readiness during due diligence, and lower PQC maturity may result in a valuation discount.
