Interfold today announced two major developments: the second round of FOLD auctions is now live, Network Alpha is officially live on mainnet, and FOLD’s universal transfer functionality has been enabled simultaneously.

The second auction offers a limited portion of 2% of the total FOLD supply through Uniswap’s continuous liquidation auction mechanism. The auction began on August 17 at 14:06 UTC and will run until August 19 at 13:06 UTC, with an initial price of 0.02154816 USDC per FOLD, consistent with the liquidation price from the first auction.
This auction is positioned as the final limited allocation before FOLD opens full transfers, aiming to broaden token accessibility and strengthen market infrastructure around the network. Fifty percent of the auction proceeds will be dedicated to long-term on-chain liquidity support.
Greater Vision: Confidential Coordination
The release of FOLD carries a larger goal.
As more collaboration worldwide moves toward digitalization and computation, organizations need to work together while avoiding the exposure of sensitive information to each other. The market requires handling private information, institutions need to analyze sensitive data, and communities need to conduct verifiable elections without revealing individual voting intentions.

Network Alpha brings its vision to life on mainnet
Network Alpha is the first production version of this vision. On mainnet, the Encrypted Execution Environment (E3) can complete its full lifecycle from deployment to execution. Participants can submit encrypted inputs, computations can be performed on these inputs, and authorized results are released through a distributed threshold process.
No single cryptographic node holds the complete decryption key or can independently control the release of results. Instead, cryptographic permissions are distributed among multiple independent operators.
Through distributed key generation (DKG) and threshold decryption, the network collectively establishes the conditions under which private computation occurs and when authorized results may be disclosed.
This constitutes a new paradigm of confidential computing: private inputs, shared computation, publicly verifiable results, with no single machine in control at any point. Network Alpha has now launched this architecture on mainnet.
FOLD becomes part of the network
With the launch of the FOLD universal transfer feature, FOLD enters a new phase. It is no longer just a transferable asset—FOLD operators can stake FOLD to participate in network responsibilities, providing security for the decentralized cryptographic processes underlying E3.
This directly ties the token to the underlying infrastructure of the network. As Interfold grows, FOLD will play a role across multiple dimensions—including distribution, liquidity, and network participation—closely aligning economic incentives with node operators responsible for confidential coordination.
A network designed for real-world use cases
Network Alpha is now in practical use in confidential governance through its integration with Aragon via Interfold. All voting remains encrypted, and the network can generate end-to-end verifiable results. The system also features a “receipt-free” property, meaning participants cannot prove their voting choices to others, effectively reducing risks such as vote coercion and vote buying.
This is an early example of the broader problem Interfold aims to solve: enabling multiple parties to contribute private information to a shared process while ensuring the original data remains confidential and the final result is verifiable.
The same architecture can be easily extended to other collaborative scenarios requiring both privacy and verifiability.
Second auction: Limited volume, profound significance
The second auction was intentionally limited to 2% of the total FOLD supply. Its purpose is not to replicate the first auction or serve as another large-scale fundraising event, but rather to act as a transitional step between the initial token distribution and the full operation of the network.
The auction begins at the liquidation price of 0.02154816 USDC per FOLD, established in the first round, ensuring continuity from the launch. The proceeds are allocated as follows: 25% directly injected into the Uniswap liquidity pool, 25% used to supplement additional liquidity, and 50% deposited into the Interfold Foundation treasury for future protocol development.
This structure clearly points to Interfold’s next phase: broader distribution, easier participation, greater liquidity, and a live network where FOLD can truly be used to solve major privacy challenges.
From token launch to network building
The significance of this moment goes far beyond the auction itself—Interfold is moving from “building a protocol” to “operating a network.”
This means independent operators are running infrastructure, developers are building confidential applications, participants are contributing to network processes, and various organizations are using encrypted computation to collaborate around information that cannot be publicly disclosed.
Network Alpha intends to start at a controlled scale, allowing the node operator ecosystem, supporting tools, system performance, and use cases to evolve gradually in a live mainnet environment.
