Flow Engineering, a startup providing AI tools for hardware design, announced on Wednesday that it has completed a $50 million Series B round, bringing its post-funding valuation to $750 million.
This round was co-led by Antonio Gracias of Valar Equity Partners and Gavin Baker of Atreides Management. Gracias is known for investing in companies founded by Elon Musk, particularly SpaceX; Atreides Management is a hedge fund that has previously invested in Musk’s companies as well as AI chipmaker Cerebras. Sequoia Capital, which led Flow’s Series A round last October, also participated in this round. Additionally, former Sequoia partner Roelof Botha joined as a personal investor and has now joined Flow’s board of directors.
The San Francisco-based company, founded three years ago, says it addresses complexity in hardware design by providing AI agents that automatically align CAD drawings with product requirements, simulation results, and other testing data.
Flow states that its customers include Anduril, Rivian, Joby Aviation, General Motors PPU (the joint venture between General Motors and TWG Motorsports), RV Tech (the joint venture between Rivian and Volkswagen), and Stoke Space.
