ChainThink reports that on August 7, according to Reuters, Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus completed a $2 billion equity financing round, raising its post-money valuation to over $10.5 billion.
This valuation is nearly double its $5.5 billion valuation from its previous funding round in April.
In this funding round, NVIDIA and Coatue Management continued to participate, with support also provided by a fund under Blackstone and Jane Street.
Firmus stated that the funding will be used to accelerate the development of its AI training and inference infrastructure in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, and to expand into Asian markets such as Indonesia.
