Odaily Planet Daily report: On August 11, Fidelity submitted an amendment to its registration statement with the U.S. SEC, seeking to add ETH staking functionality to its spot Ethereum ETF, the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH). Under normal circumstances, FETH may stake up to 100% of its held ETH, with no minimum staking requirement.
If approved by the SEC, FETH’s investment objective will also change. Currently, the fund primarily tracks the Fidelity Ethereum Reference Rate, net of associated fees; with the addition of staking, the fund’s objective will become to track the index while incorporating staking rewards. (Decrypt)
