Based on Criptonoticias, the U.S. Federal Reserve officially ended its quantitative tightening (QT) program on December 1, 2025, after more than three years of systematically reducing central bank assets. The Fed’s balance sheet has dropped to $6.53 trillion, the lowest level since April 2020. Analysts suggest this could improve financial conditions and increase institutional interest in Bitcoin, particularly through ETFs. The Fed’s balance sheet reduction reached $2.43 trillion, reversing over half of the $4.81 trillion added during the pandemic-era quantitative easing. The move coincides with expectations of interest rate cuts and a less contractionary stance from the central bank.
