F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun recently disclosed a private key compromise scare. To test the security of a suspicious address, he sent 500 BTC to it. A hacker then stole 490 BTC, leaving 10 BTC behind. The incident highlights the risks of private key exposure. Wang used the test to confirm the private key had likely been leaked. The remaining BTC was reportedly left to support his basic needs.
